Cornhole Boards Painted

We posted a few months back about constructing cornhole boards for the wedding. I had no idea how I wanted to design them and so, I did what any smart, non-crafty person does: I called Katie. Now I didn't just make her allow her to paint all of it herself. No, no. I filled in her traces with paint in some spots. No really. There is evidence that I painted. Cornhole Boards Painted

Who's hand could that be?

Ok so yeah. She is the professional, but still. I ACTUALLY painted something that wasn't a wall or furniture. Go me.

The design that we decided on was to mimic our invitations on one of the boards. Katie did an awesome job... of course. Cornhole Boards Painted

Oh, what's that? You want to see our invites? Ok fine. I've held out long enough. But I'll just show you pieces of it at a time. I don't want to overwhelm you with cuteness.

Wedding Invitation Rustic

The amazing Rachel Harding designed these with me after about 45 emails and back forth. I love them so much. There are no words. And so little touches of the invites will be all. over. this. wedding. This cornhole box is just the beginning (mwahahahah). IMG_1054

For the other cornhole box we decided to do a Phoenix landscape with August 9, 2008 (the date we met in Phoenix) along the bottom. Aren't we so clever and sweet? I think so. I am not going to share the final Phoenix box yet cause I want people coming to the wedding to have SOME surprises to look forward to! :)

What did y'all do with your wedding invites? Did you use them for inspiration elsewhere in your life/wedding/decorating?
