Cornhole

I have been bugging LB to make some cornhole boxes for the wedding and we finally got around to it this weekend. The first thing we did was go to the official cornhole website because we are nothing if not official. The link lists the supplies you will need and the next page, "build it", has the cuts:

  • 4 feet (4) (frame sides)
  • 21 inches (4) (frame ends)
  • 16 inches (4) (legs)

We just had the guys at HD cut them for us because, well, they're better than us. LB whipped the boards together in the boxes you see below and we quickly used a can of Zinnser's Smart Prime to Prime them white. To get the boards together and primed took about 1.5 hours. The legs were a bit more tricky and LB just ended up shaping them all together with a jigsaw so that the board would be stable. Worst case? stick one leg a little further down in the ground to make them sit level.

Even though I still have no idea what design I am going to paint on them, check out the current beat up state of our backyard where we have been building all things wedding related. We're gonna start a new reality series: Real Life: I am a Homeowner With A Messy Backyard, and host and star in it. I'll be back with cornhole progress and in the meantime would love input on what design we should go with. Currently, I am thinking Seahawks or our wedding logo.
