2015 House Goals: A Final Check-In

On January 1, 2015, I made a list of the house and life goals that I would like to accomplish this year. Since it is 2016 it is time for a final check in! Laundry Room: A-

We did “finish” the laundry room. There are just a few things like the butcher block countertop and maybe something with the floor that are left.

WE DID IT AND I LOVE IT!

Crown Molding: A+

We have officially finished all of the crown throughout the first floor and in each of the bedrooms.

Finishing the Master Bedroom: B

I think that we are officially calling it good enough in the master bedroom for now. It is such a relaxing space.

Get a new couch: A+++

Our badboy from Macy’s finally showed up!!!! And, it spawned a whole living room re-workthat we can now say is done.

Do Something with the Table: B+

We stained it. We're considering just getting a new table that is more modern and a forever table, but we did get new dining chairs!

Paint the Trim Outside: A+!

We found Mario who did it for $300!

Implement this Modified Front Yard Plan Including Front Fence: A-

Gut the Upstairs Bathroom: F

Add Granite to the Kitchen and Redo the Backsplash (maybe even get that french door fridge I’ve been dreaming about): B

We got the granite and backsplash done, but that french door fridge has not happened yet.

As I mentioned in the 2016 goals post, we basically want to gut the upstairs bathroom and get that french door fridge this year. We also had a baby and did her nursery in 2015. So all in all, WAY TO FREAKING GO BENNETTS!
