Spring 2016 House Tour

Guys. We are putting our house on the market. I'm super nervous. Like almost can't talk about it, I am so nervous. In order to help assuage my jitters, we had the one and only Preston Utley come take some interior pictures of our house. They turned out GORGEOUS... so gorgeous in fact, that I am giving you an updated house tour... and realizing how many things I never updated you all on. #blamelyla Speaking of that sweet babe, let's start in her room.

2015 House Goals: A Final Check-In

On January 1, 2015, I made a list of the house and life goals that I would like to accomplish this year. Since it is 2016 it is time for a final check in! Laundry Room: A-

We did “finish” the laundry room. There are just a few things like the butcher block countertop and maybe something with the floor that are left.

Wall Removal: A+

WE DID IT AND I LOVE IT!

Crown Molding: A+

We have officially finished all of the crown throughout the first floor and in each of the bedrooms.

Finishing the Master Bedroom: B

I think that we are officially calling it good enough in the master bedroom for now. It is such a relaxing space.

Get a new couch: A+++

Our badboy from Macy’s finally showed up!!!! And, it spawned a whole living room re-workthat we can now say is done.

Do Something with the Table: B+ 

We stained it. We're considering just getting a new table that is more modern and a forever table, but we did get new dining chairs!

Paint the Trim Outside: A+!

We found Mario who did it for $300!

Implement this Modified Front Yard Plan Including Front Fence: A- 

A- because I don't know if anything we planted is going to survive the winter. :)

Gut the Upstairs Bathroom: F 

I mean…. Yikes.

Add Granite to the Kitchen and Redo the Backsplash (maybe even get that french door fridge I’ve been dreaming about): B

We got the granite and backsplash done, but that french door fridge has not happened yet.

As I mentioned in the 2016 goals post, we basically want to gut the upstairs bathroom and get that french door fridge this year. We also had a baby and did her nursery in 2015. So all in all, WAY TO FREAKING GO BENNETTS!
