Easy DIY Instagram Art

Many of my favorite photos are on Instagram along with everyone else in the world. I am still a sucker for hand held prints but wanted a quick and easy way to change them out. Also Instagram prints are not the same size as a regular 4x6. So I came up with the following solution. First: start at social print studio/prinstagram.

When you order from them, you can select about 25 different projects. I ordered the square prints and a pack of 24 of them. When they synced with my Instagram account, I paid, they shipped, the prints showed up at my house looking like this.

I then went to Joanne's and got a 4 pack of "Just A Frame"'a wooden frames for about $5 after their daily in app 40% off coupon. I then grabbed my Annie Sloan chalk paint in Antibes Green (it's the same paint we used to paint our side tables).

I got two of the frames hit with the green paint and then spray painted the other two white.

These are definitely my favorite primer/white spray paints.

I then hot glued a clothes pin to the tops of the frames and the end result looks like this: 20140404-222135.jpg

And yes, these are our wedding napkins. But they are so cute so I put them in a frame for now. Don't judge me.

On two of them I added a backing. On this one with my favorite two dudes, I just printed out a chalkboard background .jpg and cut it to 4x6 and stuck it in there. 20140404-222054.jpg

With this one of my Samantha and I, I had a scrap of fabric from curtain fabric shopping leftover. So, I hot glued the fabric right into the back of the frame.
